The idea of Tanzania Private Tours was created in 2012 when Luca Cenerelli and Seif Mkuti met during a sunrise safari in the Serengeti National Park.

Today, Tanzania Private Tours is the official online website for direct sales of trips to and within Tanzania and it is part of SEL Tours Limited, exclusively owned by Seif Mkuti and Luca Cenerelli.

SEL Tours Ltd. is a Tour Operator based in Arusha, member of the Tanzania Local Tour Operators (TLTO) Association and registered at the Tanzania Tourist Board under license no. 105999 since September 2015, which deals with the arrangement and management of all "ground services" (including internal flights) for Travel Agencies and International Tour Operators who look for a serious and reliable local Partner (DMC) for their customers.

We organize Safaris and trips throughout Tanzania, including islands.

Our philosophy in brief

Before organizing the stages, there is always an exploratory chat. We just about become "therapists" to understand people's tastes, motivations or fears. This is the only way to fulfill desires and make each person’s dreams come true, while organizing their days ad hoc.

We believe that listening, sharing emotions and studying a tailor-made itinerary is the best way to offer a unique and special journey every time.

We are a young, flexible and highly motivated reality, working with enthusiasm and passion.
We exclusively work with local people: only the best, carefully scouted and continuously trained, day by day.

During each trip, we suggest tours and experiences which are carefully picked to get in touch with the places, culture, population and local traditions.
We avoid everything that is too touristy, preferring everything that is authentic.

Our forte are the private tailor-made Safaris with an English speaking guide - upon request, Italian, Spanish, German, French and Russian too - and a Jeep for exclusive use, personalized each time, based on the wishes, habits, availability and budget of each person.

However, we also offer group trips to allow everyone to experience a Safari, at a lower price.

We take care of everything, except for the intercontinental flight.

We provide a full "on the ground" service, from the second you arrive to the one when you leave.

We take care of everything: transfers, Hotel and Lodge reservations, Game Drive Safaris, excursions, activities during the trip, internal flights and beach stays.
We leave the intercontinental flight booking to you, so you can timely choose the best day of departure, the airline Company and the route you prefer, at the most convenient price.

We have three 4x4 Jeeps with a panoramic pop up rooftop (perfect for taking spectacular pictures and admiring the surrounding landscape): two 7-seats Toyota Land Cruisers and a 5-seats Toyota Land Rover (especially used when the road conditions are more adverse). All jeeps are equipped with a fridge and an electrical socket to charge cell phones and batteries.
Our professional guides speak English. Upon request, also Italian, Spanish, German, French and Russian.
