NORTHERN CIRCUIT - The most popular Safari route of Tanzania

Day 1 - ARRIVAL AND SAFARI AT ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK (depending to flight arrival time)

On arrival, “meet & greet” with special gift at Kilimanjaro Airport, short Safari at the Arusha National Park (due to flight arrival time), transfer for dinner and overnight stay at Arusha Impala Hotel. (Dinner & Breakfast).

Day 2 – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

Early pick up after breakfast; depart for Lake Manyara National Park with picnic box. Game viewing in this tiny but very diverse park, a combination of Rift Valley Lake, dense woodlands and steep mountainside. Manyara is a bird paradise which hosts more than 380 species, a Soda Lake with thousands of flamingos, quite spectacular sight and famous for its tree climbing lions. Enjoy your picnic lunch on the shores of Lake Magadi. In the late afternoon drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Endoro Lodge Karatu. (Full Board Basis)

Day 3 – TRANSFER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Depart after breakfast, and drive to Serengeti via Ngorongoro Conservation Area, approximately 6hrs, with picnic lunch. Game viewing enroute as you drive across into Southern Serengeti. Serengeti means “endless plains” in Maasai, home to the world’s greatest mammal migration, houses a spectacular concentration of wildlife, more than 1.5 million wildebeest move into the Maasai Mara every year in search of new pastures. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti – Sopa Lodge or Seronera Wildlife. (Full Board Basis)

Day 4 – FULL DAY SAFARI AT SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Awaken in this magnificent wilderness, where the wild animals temporarily lend you their space and where you can enjoy the most beautiful African landscapes. For proximity to nature and wildlife this is the ideal way to come into closest contact with the African Wilderness. Full day game viewing, in the hope of witnessing the grand show of the wilderbeest as they migrate. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti – Sopa Lodge or Seronera Wildlife. (Full Board Basis)

Day 5 – OLDUVAI GORGE (optional) AND NGORONGORO CONSERVATION AREA

Depart in the morning with picnic lunch and drive across from South Serengeti with game viewing enroute to Ngorongoro. On the way stop over at Olduvai Gorge /optional (outside the crater but within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area) and commonly referred to as the "the cradle of mankind". It is the place where in 1959 the famous archeologist, Dr Leakey and his wife Mary excavated the skull believed to be of the earliest man on earth, probably Adam! Arrive in the late afternoon, refreshen and relax, enjoy this beautifully positioned lodge right on the rim of the crater. Dinner and overnight at Endoro Lodge Karatu. (Full Board Basis)

OPTIONAL: visit of a typical Maasai Village.

Day 6 – NGORONGORO CRATER

Drive into Ngorongoro Crater floor with lunch box. Descend into one of the eighth wonders of the world! A spectacular sight as you drive down into the crater floor, the largest intact caldera in the world at 600m deep it is home to a permanent population of more than 30,000 animals, and is one of the on places in Africa where you stand a chance of seeing the "big five" (lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino and elephant) in the course of a day’s game drive. Dinner and overnight at Roika Lodge. (Full Board Basis)

Day 7 – TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast you will depart for Tarangire National Park with lunch box. Game drive enroute with a short break for lunch.
Tarangire is unique in its setting of huge Baobab trees and largest herds of elephants. Enjoy game till late evening, drive to the Lodge for dinner and overnight at Roika Lodge. (Full Board Basis)

Day 8 – ARUSHA MARKET AND DEPARTURE

Early in the morning, you set out on an exciting game-drive to view the teeming wildlife savoring their morning kill. Back to the Lodge for late breakfast, get prepared and drive back to Arusha, stop for shopping by the local and typical Market (if time allowed) and proceed to Kilimanjaro Airport for International flight back home.
